We thought for a while about whether or not to have a maternity shoot - on one hand we have seen some really tacky ones, plus pictures of women when they are pregnant - huge bump and water retention and all, are often not ones they are most fond of! But on the other hand, we love having pictures of memories to look back on, and wanted a record of such a wonderful, special time.
So with that in mind, we decided to take some pictures ourselves to document our favourite parts of the final stages of Lauren's pregnancy.
The bump - there aren't many times Lauren can say she has been proud of her body or found it beautiful - but this has been one of them. And despite Sarah always finding her wife the most beautiful woman in the world, she has definitely approved of her beautiful, glowy, blooming pregnant wife!
Embracing peace, love, and the natural approach - it's our way in most areas of our life, and has bought us a lot of calm.
Lots of love - sitting in bed listening to our music playlists (with accompanied wiggling from baby - turns out he's a Newton Faulkner fan), reading his story books, or just enjoying being two.
His nursery - we are really proud of it! These were taken on the day of our baby shower when our friends and family came to take a peek! Lauren's dad commented on the calmness of the room, which is definitily what we wanted.
So no professional styled and posed shoot for us, but these pictures capture genuine memories - these past few weeks have been magical, and definitely the most special of our lives. We can't wait for what memories the next few weeks will hold!
